Mario receives a letter from Princess Toadstool inviting him for cake, and you know he's not going to turn down an offer like that. But when he arrives, he discovers that Bowser has used his dark magic to steal the castle's power stars and seal everyone inside. That jerk! So Mario has to get the stars back and save everyone so he can get his cake.
