Sony has announced a new model of PSP. Called the Psp Go, it will play games exclusively through the PSN. All UMDs will be unplayable due to the lack of a cartridge slot on the new model. Because UMD video releases have not yet been released online, you will lose access to any UMD movies you already own such as Cheaper By the Dozen.
Although the PSP Go will retail for more than the cuurent PSP-3000, the convenience of downloadable games more than makes up for the price increase and PSP GO is a welcome addition to the PlayStation family. PSP will launch on October 1.
